If things have gone right, this new site should be up and running, replacing the old Robertagregory site that has been on the web in two incarnations for well over  a decade, thanks to Kathleen Bennett and Scott Faulkner and Chris Jones--as well as the web hosts at Drizzle, where I will still continue to use my email account. All were of immeasurable help, especially now that I see what a headache it is to put a big website together... and now I am trying the patience of everyone I encounter at the University Village Apple store. I am using the Apple iWeb software and launching it with their Mobile Me, and have discovered that it has a blog page as well. I seem to have encountered some interesting glitches, and solved many of them (not without a LOT of help)--but some remain troublesome. Some of the type changes size when it is published, so some blocks of type that are 12 point are adjacent to others that are 13 point. The Paypal buttons next to the Naughty Bits comics line up just fine in iWeb, and then when published, are out of line. The Mother Mountain chapter fills up the space just fine in iWeb, and then when published, seems to be in a smaller typeface and leave lots of white space at the end, even after I laboriously changed fonts, copied into TextEdit and reformatted from scratch and so forth.

What I thought would take a couple weeks has taken more like a few months, but this is an astoundingly ambitious project for a first web site. A month or so in, I put together thelandisreview website, and that seemed to launch just fine, and truecattoons seems to be working fine, too, so this is going to be the big test. Please take some time to visit when convenient (with some time to spare, if there is anything like that left in the world these days) and see if the links seem to work as they should. There is a lot to read here, dozens of comics pages to enjoy--and please don’t hesitate to order anything that you may not have or which intrigues you... I assembled the Paypal cart as well, and can’t wait to see if THAT works properly, either. Believe it or not, there are even MORE pages that are still too under construction to put in. AND I have ambitiously purchased MORE URL’s for even more web sites... smaller than this one, of course.

I hope this is pretty functional... I just want to get back to writing stories and drawing pictures.... and I am sure you all are looking forward to that, too.
